Q. "how to remove chestpiece from tubing"
A. "The chestpiece is designed to be removed for cleaning etc. It takes some effort, but is quite straightforward. Simply wrap the tubing near the chestpiece around one hand and pull the chestpiece with the other hand. The chestpiece should then come away from the tubing."

Replacement double sided chestpiece for the Littmann Classic II SE stethoscope. This is the genuine manufacturer supplied product and features the patented tuneable diaphragm and rim assembly which is now standard within most of the Littmann range. (Please note this is the chestpiece only, it does not include the binaurals)
